Bravo Family Mortuary is San Diego?s newest full-service funeral home, the first to open since 1963. We are conveniently located in Mission Valley and are proud to combine modern amenities with timeless traditions while also offering eco-friendly (green) burial, preparation and ceremonial options.

We are a family owned, independent, full-service, elegant mortuary. We operate with integrity and compassion while putting the needs of our families at the forefront of everything we do. The caring and dedicated staff at Bravo Family Mortuary is led by its founder Lena Bravo-Olsher and her husband Steve, who both have a passion for serving families and gracefully guiding them through one of life's most difficult moments. Having lost both of her parents at a young age, Lena understands first-hand the difficulties and pain associated with losing a loved one as well as the desire for a seamless, hassle-free experience.

An active member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Lena is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in both California and Illinois. Graduating with honors from the esteemed Worsham School of Mortuary Science in Wheeling Illinois, Lena along with her staff, enrolls in ongoing, continuing education to maintain current, and best, funeral industry practices.

Bravo Family Mortuary offers varying options, from traditional and green burial and cremation services, to elaborate celebrations of life. We can also coordinate with your cemetery of choice as well as deliver your loved one?s cremated remains. Saying goodbye to a loved one is incredibly difficult.
